Connext’s Partnership with Milkomeda
Together with Nomad, Connext built a trust minimized bridge between Milkomeda (Cardano sidechain) and Ethereum.
You can now move assets from the Milkomeda to the Ethereum and back in a cheap, fast a secure way.
Milkomeda is a Layer-2 protocol that brings EVM capabilities to non-EVM blockchains through the magic of Layer-2 solutions like sidechains and rollups.
Milkomeda will be bringing its EVM support to the Cardano ecosystem first and then extending into Solana, Algorand and Terra.
On Cardano, the only way to write smart contracts is with Haskell and Plutus. This poses a significant barrier for developers who don't know these languages.
The Milkomeda protocol offers sidechains that allow developers to write smart contracts in familiar programming languages, such as Solidity, and deploy them across multiple chains.
Milkomeda is born as an L2. As Cardano doesn't have the technology to support L2s yet, they launched it as a sidechain on Cardano. Projects will use Milkomeda as a scalable layer for Cardano. Milkomeda will launch on subsequent chains as a rollup.
We are excited to support Milkomeda and their ecosystem towards an interoperable and scaling future on EVMs and non-EVMs chains.

Neon Labs Goes Live on Devnet
Neon, the first cross-compatibility and scaling solution for Ethereum built on Solana, is excited to release Neon Alpha.
Neon is ready for Ethereum developers to integrate their applications and for users to test the network.
They enable dApp developers to use Ethereum tooling to scale and get access to Solana.
Connext Network and Nomad are one of the ‘Ecosystem Infrastructure’ partners of Neon Labs as being its bridge support.
Nomad Bridge with Updated UI
Nomad Team reworked the bridge flow to make the process more transparent, providing a sleek user experience.
Now, a user selects the origin and destination chains, the token and amount to transfer, then navigates to a new review screen.

Connext Team is heading to ETHAmsterdam!
The Team will be in Amsterdam between April 16-26 for ETHAmsterdam.
It’s going to be a week full of Ethereum&DeFi related events by DevConnect and a 2 day-long hackathon by ETHGlobal.
