Welcome to a new week of multi-chain world Connextors!
Let’s take a look together what happened in the previous days of Connext Network:
Last week in Connext Ecosystem
Phase 1 of the Contributor Program Ended on July 15
If you’re an onboarded contributor, please be sure to submit your work using the FORM.
The quality of some contributions was exceptional and we are grateful for such a skilled and passionate community. Connext will succeed thanks to its contributors and the ecosystem created around the protocol.
What are the next steps after you submit your work?
Beginning next week, Community Admins and Track Operators will start reviewing contributions based on:
Quality,
Impact,
The value they bring to the Connext ecosystem.
Participants will be awarded points based on their contributions accordingly.
After $NEXT is distributed & the Connext DAO is formed, the DAO will vote on a proposal to allocate a portion of $NEXT to Phase I contributors.
Upon approval of final allocations, participants will be retroactively awarded a share of the allocation proportional to the points they received.
Update on NEXT Token Launch
Connext Team decided to delay NEXT token distribution temporarily due to recent market conditions and volatility.
What are the reasons behind this decision?
Launching a token in a recent type of market has a centralizing effect on ownership:
A disproportionate number of tokens is accumulated by large holders after the distribution versus ending up in the hands of the long-term supporters and contributors of a project.
This is not what Connext wants for $NEXT and sharply contrasts with its vision of Connext as public infrastructure.
What are the next steps to transition Connext into a DAO?
Waiting for conditions to stabilize,
Researching a distribution structure that better targets supporters and Connext community,
Finalizing details of the research and distributing by early fall.
Core contributors of Connext will prioritize engineering and community efforts toward the upcoming launch of Amarok, a major upgrade to the Connext network that will allow developers to build trust-minimized cross-chain apps.

Keep3r integrated Connext to go crosschain
The Keep3r Network and its partner Wonderland have been working in the past weeks to upgrade their V2 infrastructure, and securely bring it on multiple chains thanks to an integration with Connext. They decided to use Connext for its security model (Connext relies on the optimistic messaging protocol Nomad) and the ease of integration.
The xcalls that the Connext API allows are easy to integrate and deploy, as Connext handles the infrastructure part and projects don’t have to assume interoperability risks.
NGNDev, Wonderland team member, explained:
“Working with Connext and their team has been a great experience thanks to the frictionless ability to execute permissionless and permissioned crosschain calls, and the full support from the integration team. We wanted to avoid using Oracles on other chains, and Connext provides the most trust minimized solution in the space and is perfect for this use case”.

LasMeta Integrated Connext
Lasmeta, a play-to-earn poker game platform, integrated Connext.
After the integration, users will be able to access LasMeta tokens whenever they want, without having to leave the game, thanks to Connext “any to any” swap by connecting their wallets.
Did you try Amarok Testnet yet?
You can now bridge, run a router, or build on top of the newest Connext upgrade.
Read more about the Amarok Testnet here.
Mainnet soon.
As we stabilize and complete the audits, we are keen to move to mainnet as soon as possible.
