Welcome to a new week of multi-chain world Connextors!
Let’s take a look together what happened in the previous days of Connext Network:

At approximately 9:32 pm UTC on August 2, an attacker began exploiting a bug in Nomad’s Ethereum smart contract, resulting in the theft of approximately $190M.
Here’s what we know so far and what you can expect from us in the coming days:
The vulnerability was caused by a bug introduced during a routine upgrade of the Nomad contracts. The bug unintentionally removed the requirement that a message is proven, allowing attackers to bypass proving the validity of messages to the contract’s process() function.
.
Although we’re working towards a network upgrade that will allow Connext to use the Nomad infrastructure for generalized messaging, this change is still on testnet. As a result, Connext users were not directly affected by the Nomad hack.
The Nomad vulnerability impacted parties holding assets on the chains that use nomad assets as their canonical assets: Moonbeam, Evmos, and Milkomeda. As a result, we have temporarily stopped support for these chains.
.
Upon learning of the hack, the Connext team responded by instructing our router community to disable support for the affected chains – mitigating further loss.
We are actively working on a full post-mortem and incident report that we plan to share publicly once available. Additionally, we are collaborating with the Nomad team and affected parties to determine the best next steps.
While this incident is a setback for the ecosystem, we remain committed to transparency and ensuring the maximum possible security of user funds.

Solidity Hacking Competition at ETHLatam
Connext is hosting a Solidity Hacking Competition with Wonderland at ETHLatam in Argentina, on August 13!
Methodology
Participants will be divided into groups of 3-5 people who will try to hack & break very secure smart contracts.
Each group will face various challenges, where points will be awarded based on the complexity of the problem and the speed of the solution.
The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams with the most points will be rewarded!
Breakfast and launch are on the house, so you will only have to worry about giving your best performance in the competition!
Get your ticket here.
Getting a ticket doesn’t guarantee an entrance to the event. After submissions are closed, 80 devs will be selected and they will receive a confirmation email.
NFTHashi Integrated ConnextScan!
NFTHashi, a trust minimized cross-chain NFT protocol powered by ConnextNetwork just added a transaction history page.

Earn a Moonbeam NFT by using Connext Bridge!
The Ultimate Harvest Moon Campaign has started! Here is what you have to do to earn a pretty NFT from Moonbeam:
1. Bridge to Moonbeam from any chain on Connext Bridge: https://bridge.connext.network/from-polygon-to-moonbeam…
2. Follow Connext, Nomad & Moonbeam on Twitter
3. Bridge $10+ of ETH, BTC, or USDC
4. Claim your NFT at https://galaxy.eco/Moonbeam/campaign/GC2T1UtGK7
Last Day: August 11
Did you try Amarok Testnet yet?
You can now bridge, run a router, or build on to the newest Connext upgrade.
Read more about the Amarok Testnet here.
Mainnet soon.
As we stabilize and complete the audits, we are keen to move to mainnet as soon as possible.

On the 4th of August 2020, I was invited to my very first team coffee chat. I was that close to say no because I was scared. But I already posted a short video so I said that it made no sense. I remember Inwas shaking before joining google meet. But this made an impact because 3 days later I posted my very first video on YouTube, a dream coming true after 10 years of overthinking. For me is very hard to do something for the first time. I mean extremely hard. That's my weakness. Then once I start things become super easy for me. that's my strength.
Knowing yourself will help you to become successfull.
